     Josh Castle LIS 4380 After reading the "We Are Data" readings i learned a few things about how the algorithms of social media and assigning identities work as well as how google portrays what a celebrity is. Based off of what you choose to do on social media or who you interact with is what the algorithms and data are going to display for you in your social media apps.         To me personally, Media is really just anything type social network whether its a news website like CNN or a social app like Facebook. The reason that way is because i think media can really be anything that is displayed on the internet. I feel like most stuff posted on the internet are for content and viewer reactions. I feel like when it comes to social networking i look at social media platforms as business platforms instead of entertainment platforms. Social media can actually be a great place for social networking like instagram for example. On Instagram you can create a business account and pay to have your business page sponsored and promoted to lots of peoples pages. Josh Castle LIS4380 Prompt 1        My personal Dos and Don'ts of social is pretty simple i would say. I personally don't like to spend too much time on social media because i feel like it can be very addicting and time consuming as well as being very unproductive.
