Welcome to my blog!

     My name is Josh Castle and i am from Tampa, Florida. My major is Communications and my minor is entrepreneurship. Some things about me are that i am a boxer, i've been doing it for about 6 years now and it never gets old to me. I also love snowboarding, it is my favorite thing to do, sadly we live in a state where it does not snow so i have to travel to do it. I also love to edit videos, i've been doing it for a while now and it is a passion of mine to create cool clips and content, i also create and edit content for streamers and Youtubers. I also love trading NFTs and cryptocurrency's, i'm pretty good at it and have made a pretty good amount of money doing so. So far the only real professional experience i've had is working for my dad for his insurance company part time while i am in college. My favorite social media platform is probably instagram. Thats usually the app i spend the most time on because its really entertaining to me. This is my first time creating a blog and its honestly pretty cool, i love trying new things. I don't have any experience with using or making blogs but i do have a lot of experience with using vlogs. I feel like vlogs are used a lot more than blogs these days. I honestly don't have any dislikes with blogs so far, i think they're really cool, i just never really got around to using them. Well i'm glad i go to introduce myself and i cant wait to get to know y'all more!

Josh Castle LIS4380 Prompt 1        My personal Dos and Don'ts of social is pretty simple i would say. I personally don't like to spend too much time on social media because i feel like it can be very addicting and time consuming as well as being very unproductive.        This week’s reading mainly talked about how at the start of social media it was mainly just about getting users to onboard their platform and whichever platform had the greatest number of users would be the most popular and winning one. Nowadays, its mainly looked at for the business side of it. It is clear that majority of people go on social more then watch television these days so instead of media advertisers taking their ads to televisions commercials more and more businesses are moving to having their ads displayed on popular social media plat forms like Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Since this has started happening it has changed the way that platforms look at their consumers.        So for this assignment i chose to use instagram for my time diary considering the fact that i think i use instagram more than any other social media tool. I know that i go on instagram at least a couple times a day so i felt like this would be the best choice to select for my time diary. So my time on instagram for the last 4 days is this:  Friday, February 17 I averaged 52 minutes. Saturday, February 18 I averaged 52 minutes. Sunday, February 19 I averaged 20 minutes. Monday, February 20 I averaged 1 hour and 19 minutes. Which makes sense to me because on the weekends i'm usually pretty busy and don't really goo on my phone too much in general but on the week days i have a little bit more free time and can just hang out for a little. I only ever go on instagram on my iPhone. Im aware that you can go on it on your laptop or iPad but for me personally i just like to use it on my phone so that i can just use it wherever...
